MISSION
Our Vision is for San Antonio to be a thriving city with many transportation options, zero pedestrian, cycling, and traffic fatalities, and adequate housing for all members of the community.

End Parking Mandates and Subsidies

Yamini lives in the Downtown neighborhood and mostly relies on walking and e-biking as forms of transportation. She organizes many of the Strong Towns SATX events and is the primary liaison with the city and other advocacy groups. Yamini currently serves on the San Antonio Planning Commission and Technical Advisory Committee (PCTAC) and as an Advisor to the Board for Texans for Reasonable Solutions (TfRS) focusing on unlocking incremental housing development.

Austin is a Themed Entertainment Designer that has lived in the Woodlawn Lake neighborhood of San Antonio for the past 3 years. An avid biker, he relies on his ebikes and the ocassional VIA trip as his primary forms of transportation. Austin currently represents Strong Towns SATX on the AAMPO Active Transportation Committee and the Woodlawn Lake Community Association on the SA Tomorrow Near North Planning Committee. Austin is also one of the Master Naturalists that runs the Woodlawn Lake Centennial Garden. Since joining Strong Towns, Austin has focused his efforts on TOD and Bike Network Plan adoption. Now that they have passed, he has been working on implementing Quick Builds along the Cincinnati Ave bike lanes and greater connectivity to the cities Greenway Trail network. Austin also leads Strong Towns Book Club
By prioritizing the needs of people, Strong Towns are able to create communities that are more inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of income or ability.
