We are planting in neighborhoods to provide shade for pedestrians, address the urban heat island effect, and beautify the neighborhood.
Crash Analysis
Today, when a crash occurs, it sets a process in motion to determine who was at fault: one driver or another? The person crossing the street or riding a bicycle? These are not the right questions.
Instead, we will ask, how did the built environment cause an unsafe situation? What can we change about this street or intersection to make it safer? We will analyze crashes and share our recommendations with the City Council. Together, we can make San Antonio a safer place.
